Kids on the Move

Chautauqua Striders is excited to offer a new program to third and fourth grade students at Lincoln Elementary School!  Kids on the Move is an eight week school-based running program that will begin Wednesday, October 5th.

Running programs are a great way to engage students in a healthy activity that is fun and social.  The program sessions will be from 3pm-4:30pm on Wednesdays.  Students will be learning running technique, as well as, life skills including healthy eating, goal setting, effective communication, and relaxation methods.   The eight week program culminates with the students running the Amy King 5K Race, Saturday, November 26, in Lakewood.

It is our goal that students that participate in Kids on the Move use the skills and confidence gained through running and completing the program to positively impact their lives and their community.

To find out how to get a Kids on the Move program at your school please contact Melissa Paduano, Kids on the Move Coordinator, with any questions at (716) 489-3486 or Melissa@chautauqua-striders.org.
