Life Skills Education
Life Skills Education (LSE) is a 12 week program focused on enhancing social and emotional skills. Using an evidence-based curriculum developed by the ARISE foundation. Life Skills Educators lead weekly small group sessions focused on giving participants the skills to have a positive school experience. Each group session allows participants the opportunity to participate in fun and creative activities.
What is Bilingual Life Skills Education?
The Bilingual life skills education program provides assistance to youth and families in the community who may be struggling with assimilating to the school environment due to language or cultural barriers. The Bilingual LSE works with students who are English Language Learners and their families to provide interpretation and translation for communication with school, governmental organization, and other service organizations.
When is Life Skills Education?
Students in grades k-5 who are enrolled in her program will participate in 12 weeks of life Skills Education offered during lunch. Sessions are offered throughout the school year. During May and June, 4th and 8th grade students will have the opportunity to participate in special curriculum focused on transitioning to middle and high school.
